Risk management 

Aims

This seminar will give participants an understanding of various types of risk that may occur during a project and explain some of the methods and tools available to control different risk scenarios.

Successful project management requires a two-sided approach to project work - on one hand planned activities must be carried out, on the other time and energy must be devoted to identify and fend off risks that could present a threat to the project. The latter we call risk management.

The likelihood of attaining project objectives in terms of time, content and cost increase dramatically by:

• identifying the risks facing a project or project portfolio
• quantifying the damage which these risks may cause
• reacting to the risk situation, i.e. taking the correct actions

Format

The character of this subject inevitably involves the exposure of concrete difficulties and risks in the participants' real projects. Therefore, this seminar is only carried out as an in-house training event.
