Model
Our model is the basis for how we might organize, manage and carry out work in projects. The model doesn't describe how the individual project is to be handled in detail, instead, it should be regarded as a coarse-meshed pattern and as overall support for the work.
The model should be designed in such way that its users will have quick and easy access to what they are in search of. Some important elements of a model include: project definitions, how to organize projects, a description of the general project workflow, i. e. how the course of the project may be divided into phases and decision-points.
Furthermore, the model should clarify how the interaction between the project and the line organization is supposed to work and also include templates for vital project documents.
There is a choice of creating a tailor-made model or to make use of an existing, tried and tested one. The advantage with a tailor-made model is that it can be fully adapted to the needs of the organization in question. The advantages with an existing model are that it is ready for use and often of high quality. The development work can, in such cases, be more focused on the competence and implementation issues.
Throughout the years, we have helped many companies to develop their own project models. Understanding that the design of the model is just one of several necessary steps is a prerequisite for achieving desired results.
We know what the models ought to consist of, how to organize the development work and how to succeed with the implementation. We can assist you in this work. If you want a foundation quickly, on which to build your own model, we can furnish you with various ready-made building stones.
