Implementation

Our acquired knowledge and developed model meet when the implementation phase is reached. This is when we introduce the model to daily project work and put our knowledge into practice. Now the moment has arrived when it will be seen whether the model will permeate the organization as intended to or not.

To ensure that the project managers will get started in the new manner, they will need assistance with the model in their individual project. Should this support not exist, the first steps could become too troublesome or could lead to over-interpretation of the model.

The efforts during the implementation phase must be persistent so that we don't quit before the arrangement is working well. There are many examples of organizations that ran out of steam when the design of the model was completed and too little energy was devoted to getting it into shape in the daily project work.

Training programs with no firm links with reality or which paint too glossy a picture and models that are not designed to give genuine support can in actual fact become fatal obstacles.
